Peter Moon

Peter Moon; Hawaiian Music Master

Ukulele and Guitar Player, Record Producer, Song Writer

Peter Moon was born in Honolulu, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1962 and from the UH Manoa in 1968. As an ukulele and slack-key guitar player he gained musical inspiration, insight, and knowledge playing as a Maile Serenader with Gabby “Pops” Pahinui in the early 1960s.

During the late 60’s Moon was a founding member of The Sunday Manoa. In 1979 he created The Peter Moon Band.

During his music career Peter Moon received many Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. Peter Moon was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
