Waylon Nihipali, Country Music Songwriter, Singer, & Artist

Waylon Nihipali is a Country Music artist & songwriter. He grew up in the Hilo & Puna areas of the “Big Island”, Hawai’i Island. Waylon developed a liking for country music as a young child. He would tag along to recording studios, concerts and gigs with his dad, who is also a Hawaiian Country Music performer.

Growing up in a country setting, Waylon developed a deep passion for rodeo which fittingly went hand-in-hand with his affection for Country Music. As a junior & senior in high school Waylon qualified & competed in the High School Nationals Rodeo Finals in Gillette, Wyoming.

Waylon gained an education & skills in Civil Engineering as a Heavy Equipment Operator while serving in the United States Air Force. It was during this stage of his life he began avidly writing & singing Country Music with a guitar that was gifted to him from his dad. Waylon recorded his very first Sing along track in a little studio at his first duty station in Clovis, New Mexico. Turns out, that’s where Leanne Rimes did her very first recording of Blue. Waylon also placed 3rd in the Colgate Country Music Showdown.

Receiving a Honorable Discharge, Waylon moved back to Hawai’i with his Country Music career still in sight. A huge push towards a developing career, Waylon packed up, left his tropical island home and is now residing in the Heart of Country Music, Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently honing his skills, songwriting, singing, and living out his Country Music artistry dream.
